The film, which is on the lines of ‘Satya’ and ‘Company’ which have been dark and striking, will portray the forming of the encounter sqad and will follow the lives of the encounter cops and their friendship and rivalries.

According to sources, the film is said to have signed on Sanjay Dutt and Abhishek Bachchan. ‘Department’ has been inspired from real-life encounter cops Daya Nayak and Pradeep Sawant. While the two stars will play these characters, another actor has to be finalized to play the character of D Sivanathan, the current DGP of Mumbai.

Interestingly Sanjay and Abhishek have played the cop roles before, but this time with RGV as the helmer, let’s see how these actors perform…
